Equipment    
4 Cones, stop-watch, flat floor with good traction, one timer and one spotter.
Instructions
   

Ensure the players are thoroughly warmed-up and familiar with the test.

Starting at A, the player sprints forward to B and touches the base of the cone with his right hand.

The player then shuffles left to C and touches the base of the cone (when shuffling, the player must face front and not cross feet)

The player then shuffles 10m to D and touches the cone base with right hand before shuffling back to B
· The player touches cone B with left hand and , then runs backward past point A, at which time the timer stops the clock

The test score is the best of two trials.

Key Points
   
For safety, a spotter should be positioned 3m behind cone A to catch the player in case of falling. Disqualify players if they fail to touch the base of the cones, crosses one foot in front of the other, or fails to face forward for the entire test.
Progressions & Variations

Variations for speed and agility training drills:

No shuffling i.e. simply touch cone B and sprint to C, D, B, then past A

Tackle bag at C and D

Carry the ball during standard format
